2.1 Search for Closest Testing Site (Continued)
What if a person has been tested positive?
If a person has tested positive, health authorities would have obtained their personal journal of movements beforehand through the use of their UserID, and announcing a public health alert about their movements.
How would we be notified about a positive case?
We will update the app as soon as a public health alert has been announced. This will be done by sending a notification to notify all users about recent cases and movements to help identify and compare their movements.
How would we compare our locations we have been in with someone who has been tested positive?
Our app will automatically search through all the users' movements that are stored in a centralised database, and highlight a specific movement in red if it matches with the same suburb or location of a positive case movements.
What is the difference between pressing a button instead of scanning a QR code?
By pressing a button to scan your current location, our app will extract the current GPS coordinates and identify the location through performing reverse geocoding with longitude and latitude values.
The main benefit with this implementation is to increase the speed of checking-in by not waiting in line to scan a QR code, which in the end, creates clusters of groups. You are able to also check yourself into places where there are usually no QR codes, for example, your local park. This will hopefully help with identifying Covid-19 breakouts, which we are able to locate close-contacts more accurately.
